What Audrex is

Audrex is a Shopify app that adds an AI chat agent to a merchant's storefront and embedded admin. This policy covers data Audrex processes on behalf of merchants who install the app, and on behalf of their shoppers who chat with the agent.

What we collect

  • Store data — product catalog, order status, and store knowledge-base content, synced via the Shopify Admin API and webhooks so the agent can answer accurately.
  • Conversation data — chat messages between a shopper and the agent, and, when a shopper voluntarily provides it (e.g. to look up an order or start a return), their order number and email address.
  • Merchant configuration — agent name, tone, and the automations a merchant sets up (e.g. a Slack webhook URL or a notification email address they provide).

What we don't do

  • We don't sell shopper or merchant data.
  • We don't use store data to train models outside serving that store's own agent.
  • We don't share conversation content with third parties except the automation destinations a merchant explicitly configures (their own Slack workspace, their own email/Admin API actions).

How long we keep it

Conversation and order data is retained for as long as the app is installed on a store, so the agent keeps working across sessions. If a store uninstalls Audrex, its data is erased within 48 hours via Shopify's shop-redaction webhook.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Shoppers can request a copy of, or deletion of, their data by contacting the merchant's store, who can trigger this through Shopify's standard customer data request and redaction flow — Audrex implements both of Shopify's mandatory webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact) and erases matching chat history and identifiers on request.
